There's no PTA without Membership
PTA is a membership organization. This means your role as Membership Chair is critical to the success of PTA at your school. You’ve accepted the responsibility for recruiting parents, teachers/staff, students, and CommYounity members in support of PTA’s mission: to make every child’s potential a reality.
Set an audacious membership goal, share it with your board and volunteers, and work to make it happen! Whether your challenge is to recruit one more member or 101 more than last year, the momentum you generate will be reflected in every program and activity your PTA sponsors throughout the school year!
There’s no magic formula for membership development; but, the first rule is always to invite every member of your school community to join PTA. Be sure they know what your PTA has made happen in the past and how their support will ensure the important work continues. The second rule is to engage others in your membership efforts. The support of other board and committee members, school administration and teachers can take your 2017-2018 membership campaign to new heights.

Head Start & Early Bird Membership Awards Set Pace for Your Campaign
The majority of membership activity for our local PTAs is during the first 4-6 weeks of the academic year. Texas PTA knows this and provides two award opportunities that reflect the importance of getting off to a good start.
If you drive your PTA to achieve these milestone, you will exceed last year’s membership. You can do it!
Check out the entire list of 2017-2018 Membership Award Criteria and get important deadlines on your calendar. Last year, our Allen PTAs achieved 91 of these awards. Let’s break that record!
